Not only does Furqan Bhai shine locally in MKA, but regionally as well, by serving as the Regional Nazim Sehat-e-Jismani and Regional Nazim Waqar-e-amal for Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Northeast Region. In his role as Regional Nazim Sehat-e-Jismani, Furqan Bhai organized a strong basketball team from the Northeast Region to compete in the Masroor Tournament this year. Under Furqan Bhai's leadership, the regional team made it all the way to the semifinals of the tournament. In addition to serving MKA in these many capacities, Furqan Bhai also serves the local Jama'at as the Tabligh secretary, a role in which he has actively tried to spread the message of Islam and Ahmadiyyat. Furqan Bhai has been blessed with a 7 year old son who is mash'allah a Waqfe-Nau. After graduating from Fitchburg State College in 2005 with a degree in Computer Information Systems, Furqan Bhai pursued his career working for an armored car service, where he securely delivers cash to banks, retailers, and ATM machines. In his spare time he enjoys writing and poetry, which actually resulted in a book titled “Listen to Your Heart” (available online at Barnes and Noble and Amazon). Astonishingly, he has also taken Karate for nine years now, and achieved the rank of a 2nddegree black belt. He also enjoys other sports, including football and basketball. From his Jama'at service to his personal achievements, Furqan Bhai is truly a Shining Star of MKA.
